Looking for a better life, they came to Hawaii to
work on the sugar plantations. They were immigrants
from Japan who came to the island of Oahu. Over 100
years later, they have lived in the community of Aiea
and created a strong community surrounded by the
Aiea Hongwanji Mission. Their
story is told in this wonderful video.
